What is a murder mystery game?

Murder Mystery games are live-action games that are generally played by taking the role of a character. During the game, a “murder or crime”will happen, and it will be up to everyone at the party to find the criminal and solve the crime. Essentially, it is referred to as a live-action version of Clue!

Where will the game take place?

The games will take place wherever you would like! Our company will bring the game to your home, to your office, a venue you have rented out. The possibilities are endless! Please note that you must have permission at the venue of choice to host the game there before booking.

Are the games child friendly?

At the moment, we only have one child-friendly (All Ages) game – “A Diamond In The Rough”. We recommend the minimum age of 8 years old, to ensure proper understanding of the clues and rules. This game replaces the concept of a ‘murder’ plot with a stolen object. All of our other games are Ages 14+.

How long is each game?

Each game is a total of 2 hours long plus 15 minutes to set-up and 15 minutes to clean up.

What should we expect?

When we arrive at your location, we will go over the spatial boundaries of your request. We ask to keep it all to a single floor (one room or multiple rooms – Although multiple rooms are recommended). The host and the assistant will begin setting up in your boundaries. Once your guests arrive and we are ready to begin, the host will begin the game while the assistant starts handing out your character dossiers. Then the game begins. During the game, someone (the assistant) will be murdered! (Our assistant will act as a character and be the victim every game. This is to ensure that every player gets a full game) All the players will need to go talk with everyone, figure out the clues and find out which of you is the murderer! At the end of the guessing stage, each player will fill out a ballot and earn points. The player with the most points will be our winner! After the winner has been announced, everyone will receive certificates and we will take photos for our social media!

Do I need to supply or do anything?

For the game, you will not need to supply or do anything in regards to set-up or clean up. All we ask is that you have fun! Some hosts will serve finger foods for their friends, or partake in a pot luck to enjoy some food while playing. We think this is a wonderful idea, we just ask that you have access to napkins and wipes/water to ensure the cleanliness of our props.

Are we allowed to take photos?

During the game, we ask that photos are not to be taken and that cell phones be put away (or at least in the pocket and on silent). We will be taking some basic photos of your event and will offer them to you after the party if you would like. We also offer a group photo at the end with photo props for our social media page.

Do you offer custom games for large groups?

We sure do! Depending on the number of expected guests, we would need enough notice to build the game, pool resources, and staff, etc.

Do you do community events?

We LOVE community events! We offer up “Mini-Mystery” games for community events. These consist of quicker single player challenges of certain clues to figure out which of our staff was the criminal. Ballots are kept throughout the event, and the winners are announced on our social media and will be contacted for their prize.

Every three months, we have a budget to do a single charity event for free.
